Did you make or buy the chocolate wall that's around the cake? Won't it crack when you wrap it around the cake? I've always wonder how it's been make

I tried to make a log cake last nite. Diaster! Cake crack when roll (as usual) and as I roll the cream get push out too. My cakes are always dry. Think I'm giving up on baking cakes. How I wish I have half of your skill

Dear Wendy,

For the chocolate wall, pour some melted chocolate onto a chocolate transfer sheet or a normal plastic paper then when it's semi-dry, cover the cake with it and let it set then peel of the plastic sheet.

For log cake, even if your log cake cracked, it's still ok. All you need to do is to cover with cream and nobody will know that it's crack. Don't bake at too cold a temperature or too long in the oven...the cakes will turn dry.

Hi,
Stumbled upon your blog and would love to try your chestnut cake. Are you willing to share the recipe?
