Pooh Bear Family Cookies


Ingredients:

200 gm. Butter
130 gm. brown sugar
1 small egg
1 tsp. vanilla essence
1 tsp. coffee emulco
a pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. Emplex

250 gm. Plain flour
50 gm. Custard Powder
60 gm. Ground almond

Method:

(1) Cream butter and sugar till creamy.
(2) Add in egg, vanilla essence, emplex and salt. Cream till well mixed.
(3) Pour in flour, custard powder and ground almond and mix into a dough.
(4) Roll the dough between two plastic sheets and use the pooh bear cutter to cut out the cookies. Decorate as you wish and bake at 175C for about 15 mins. or till cooked.

    These cutters were bought from Hong Kong Sogo. I know Japan has these too.

    perhaps you would like to leave your e-mail so that I can let you know if I see it in Singapore.

    I don't know about Hong Kong. If you're in Singapore, can buy from Sun Lik or Ailin.

    i tried to bake this cookies yest, but had difficulty in using the pooh cookie cutter/stamp, as in the dough keeps sticking to the stamp. Any advice how to make it less sticky to the stamp pls?

    emplex is to make the cookies crispy. You can omit it.

    long time no see! being very busy lately with kids' school and teaching(I'm a music teacher) as well. hope u can still remember me~~~
    school holiday here at the moment. I was trying to make ur nice pooh family cookies yesterday but it was a big mess~~~ :-( the dough was too soft n sticky, i followed ur recipe completely but..... i did put it in the fridge but still too soft.HELP!!!! i tried to make the 3D pooh bear n hello kitty shapes but just couldn't...in the end i just press the dough with normal cookie cutter. but we love the flavor! so vanilla n nice! thanks again for the delicious recipes!!!
    please advise me on how to make it properly!!thanks in advance!!!!
