  27. Aunty,
Your Kueh bolu looks so soft & nice, please share the recipe & also what oil did you use to grease the mould, it looks so easy to remove & neat looking too. Thanks.

  28. Hi Aunty,
My mum used to make this every yr for CNY. She will make her own coconut oil and brush the mold everytime before filling it. Makes the kueh bolu smells heavenly!

Also, thanks for the recipe on the choc truffle cake. Now, I just have to find the baking tin for it. :)

  31. Hi Maureen,

I used to make the coconut oil and used it for brushing the mould too but because of cholestrol, I stopped the coconut oil. I know...the aroma of the coconut oil is simply delicious.

  34. Hi Aunty Yochana

Actually coconut oil is not so bad after all. In fact it is healthy. I remembered my grand-dad used to tell me that during the Japanese world war, all families used coconut oil for cooking. I remembered my aunts made beautiful kueh bulu with coconut oil. Hmm... so fragrant.

    Cheers
    Olivia
