    This is just using egg white. I baked it layer by layer (3 layers),cut into half then sandwich with strawberry jam.

    Oops..In Malay, Panggang meaning roasted..like ayam panggang - roasted chicken..

    Bakar is baked...

    I was curios about the Panggang word in a cake.It must be an indonesian recipe.. = )

    it sounds weird&awkward to say roasted pepe, while when we make bread,it's baking bread, not roasted bread...also baked cheese cake not roasted cheese cake? that's my opinion,hehehe

  13. hi aunty. i am astried. im indonesian.....it is surprising that you have tried so many indonesian cakes.....
    pepe panggang is baked cakes made from white eggs, if it is steamed we call it bolu pelangi...well at least that's what my grandma told me. some people made pepe from starch(cassava) and itis steamed.i tried once and gave up....great job aunty
