  2. Hi rachael,

a pound cake means every ingredients has the same weight like 1 pound sugar, 1 pound flour, 1 pound eggs and 1 pound butter.

Whereas a butter cake's ingredients are not all one pound.

  14. Hi Aunty Lucy,

Can you please share this recipe with me too?

Can you pls advise for your butter cake recipe..it calls for 90gm egg yolk and 160gm egg white, my question is how do we go about weighing the egg? Is there an estimation weight of an egg or is there a formula on this?

    Thanks

  16. Hi Diana,

Use a weighing machine to weigh yur eggs.

1 egg yolk is roughly about 20 gm while 1 egg white is about 35 gm.

  20. Hi rachael,

normally overnight pound cake will taste better n become more moist. Di you put you pound cake in a container? If you did not wrap it and leave it open in the fridge or at room temp, it will turn dry.
