  1. Hi Auntie Yochana, I've been a fan of your lovely blog ever since I'm addicted to baking. I love to look at your beautiful pictures and hoping that I'm able to produce such wonderful goods too (and I believe I will...one day).

    One thing I'm curious is, how do you manage to finish everything you've made everyday? You seem to be baking 3 4 items everyday and I'm wondering, do you and your family finished them (or if you can't, I wouldn't mind being the garbage bin of yours yea)?

    I love your blog and continue to bake wonderful stuff!!! =D

    Using macarons is a good way of decorating the cakes.. good to make full use of the cute cookies..

    They called it sandy because of the chestnut flour which gives a nutty flavour. This is not the normal chestnut flour that is used for thickening sauce. This is real chestnut blended into very fine flour. Can buy from BIY at Bukit Timah Road. 100 gm - S$7-50

    for the cake you need chestnut flour. For creaming, I used French Buttercream mixed with chestnut puree.

    Heavy cream - can use double cream of whip cream with 35% fat e.g. President, Elle Vire, Even, Fuschille.

    Whipping cream - could be dairy and non dairy cream. Dairy cream is also the same as heavy cream. Non dairy cream..single cream . Can use Pour N whip, Value Pride, Rich, many many more.

    i always use cookies for cake decorations! End up it become soft..will macaron be soft if u place it ard the cream?? If it wun..hmm i will change n learn maracons for better deco hee :P

    I really have no secret in baking. I just open up my books and start baking....I think baking with love is the answer.
