  9. Hi yochana,

I happened to see this blog online!! Terrific cakes and tarts. I realise you use all sizes of cake tins. May I know what kind of oven do you use? how much does it cost?

  10. Hi Irene,

I used Ariston oven which I bought more than 8 years ago. You can go to "Mayers Marketing" and see the full range of Ariston ovens and which suits your budget. You can go online to check their prices too.

  23. Hi You lee,

it all depends on whether you like to buy local or foreign authors. Books that I like:

Cake Bible - Rose Levy Beranbum
    Bread Bible - """"""""""""
    Pastry Bible
    Essential Baker
    King Arthur flour

There are many many more books, so I'm lost too..especially in Kino.

  29. Hello, have you tried baking in the bigger silicon 'pans'....I have a bundt cake mold/pan but everytime I baked in it, the middle of the cake never got 'cooked/baked' so I stopped using it.

  30. Hi Asan,

Was the side dark brown or light brown?

Increase your baking time and cover the top with an aluminium foil.

  31. Hello, my bundt silicon pan was gray in color...I increased baking about 10 to 15 mins then gave up...shd have thought of covering with foil to prevent burning the top. Will try again, thanks for the tip. Asan

Could u pls show a picture of silpat mat for making macaroons? Very keen to know how does it look like.

    TIA

  37. Aunty,

Thank you very much for your advice on the silpat mat.

Yesterday, i attempted to make your chocolate macaroons - however, it's a complete disaster. The batter is very runny and being new to piping bag, i really have difficulty controlling it. After piping it on the parchment paper, it's very flat. After baking, it's crispy like cookies. Haha..... anyway, will try again.

    Thank you.

    Clara

  38. Hello Aunty Yochana,

I wonder who gets to eat all these beautiful and yummilicious cakes and desserts? The eaters are so blessed!

Thanks for introducing Pantry Magic. I was just wondering where else to get bake-ware other than the usual places. I wished I'd read this earlier instead of scouting the various departmental stores....

I see that some of your creations are not accompanied with recipes. Maybe you are too busy to put them up? Or is it due to copyright issues? Will you then be able to direct us to the book which you had referenced from, please? Then I can borrow or books from the library.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Cheers
    Ida
