aunty, can U post the recipe for cranberry steamed cake? Hehe.. Mother's day is coming.. It looks nice cause it is pink.. I have an idea of modifying it a little bit by replacing the cranberry with pink chocolate chips.. Hehe.. I think my mum will be happy with that!
Thanks aunty.. God bless you..!

Morning Aunty,

Can I know what difference will self-raising and cake flour make to a cake? Is cake flour a better choice?

Hi Aunty Yochana,

Thank you for your chocolate almond cake recipe. I'm going to bake this cake on Labour day. May I know 1 cup of self raising flour = 120g ? 1 cup sugar = 200g, 1 cup milk = ? g

Thank you & looking forward your advice.

Aunty,
Could you advice on the use of the oven to bake multiple cakes at the same time? I've tried baking 2 cakes at the same time and the result was far from fetching, is this the case and if there's any way of working around it?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Angie,

I don't recommend baking cakes on two shelves. One will have a more burnt top while the other has an uncooked look top.

You either place both tins on the same shelf of bake one at a time. For cookies is possible to bake two at a time because you can shift the trays as when you like but not for cakes. For cakes, do not shift the pan while baking, it will collapse in the oven unless they are already 3/4 cooked.

Hi kium,

Both are equally good....but a beginner would prefer to use SR flour.

Hi aunty,

Lovely cupcakes! How do you get them to be flat on top? Mine always peaks... Think i read in one of your comments that the batter shld be more watery? How to make it more watery? Going to bake some for mum's bday, so need to get it right. Thanks!

Hi anonymous,

I think cupcakes normally has a flat top. I fill it to slightly more than half of the muffin cup.
