Lapis Legit Tikar

Oh...I forgot to thank a blog fan - Weliana for sending me the Lapis book and nevertheless, thank her Mum for giving me her homemade Lapis Spice which is absolutely fragrant.....Thank you once again. Cheers!!

Hi, Anuty, i've tried to make Lapis last week. can i know it's important to control the beating of egg white? Sometimes, the cake turn out to be hard.

Hi ,

I'm busy at the moment with my cny bakes so not able to handle this cake but I'm not sure whether my eggs which I bought from Jalan Kayu wholesale egg seller are halal.

hi AK,

Lapis normally will turn out soft because of the high content of eggs and the very low content of flour.

I've not seen your recipe so I can't advice you. Just whip the egg white to stiff peak will do. Beating of egg white is not important here because the amount is minimal.
