Coconut Pecan Chiffon Cake

Hi Auntie Lucy, the chiffon looks yummy! I recently baked my 1st pandan chiffon, but when I took it out of the oven, the cake collapsed quite a bit. I turned it over immediately as instructed by the recipe, but the top (which is actually the bottom) of the chiffon became soggy. Any advise you can give me on that?

Would also like to ask you if you used the silicone chiffon cake tin you bought from pantry magic to bake your chiffon? I've been thinking of getting one, but not very sure what are the advantages..

trif,

Maybe your chiffon is not completely cooked and that caused the sogginess of the cake.

Silicone chiffon cake tin? Now I'm wondering whether I bought it. You mean Pantry Magic has it..must go and see. I never try before..so no comments.

Hi Auntie Lucy,

Yup, I saw it at Pantry Magic just 2 wks ago. Perhaps when you went they haven't stocked it yet? I saw red and blue silicone chiffon pan. Very nice! Maybe you can go check it out and add to your collection!
